Excellent work on this, Maggie and Hope! I enjoyed the added synthesis of the ADDIE model. Your reflections were valid and brought up good points. Which of these chapters is the most applicable to your instructional environment? Which is most valuable to your ISD?

Thanks Dr. Courduff,
ReplyDeleteI think I can relate to Hope's Chapter (12) because of the contingency and redundancy principle. The contingency principle is imperative to my first graders because any extraneous noise can make my students easily distracted. I always joke that they are like "Dory" from Finding Nemo. Redundancy is important to my students, repetition is key for their learning. Making sure I am not teaching what they already know and to expand on their knowledge. I think having worked examples and following some key points from that chapter is going to help with our ISD project.
Thank you!
Great work on this. Was very informative with good points of emphasis. I agree that extraneous can cause learning to become hard to do for some.
